Hi, thanks for stopping by!
I'm Jessica!
I'm Jessica!
I try and Southern it up by going by my first and middle name (Jessica Renee) but really I think that's just my still desperate need to stand out in the sea of 80's babies named Jessica.
I also just go by Jess too ;)
I started this blog when my boyfriend and I got engaged in 2009 and I thought I'd talk all about wedding related things. That got boring really fast (this was before Pinterest, y'all!) so I decided to change my blog's name and focus. It's a good thing too because life has changed a lot over the past few years! We're still not married BUT we now have a baby! Hey-yo! Talk about backwards!
So what exactly is my blog's focus now? Honestly, I still don't know. But what I do know is that if you stick around, be aware that I am a bad influence when it comes to shopping, drinking, watching too much TV, relaxing and cutting out of work early.
I encourage all of it.
(YOLO, right?)
(YOLO, right?)
Now to the good stuff ;)
RONNIE: He's 31, grew up in Canyon Lake, TX and dreams of moving somewhere with mountains and cold weather. He's an ex-tattooer turned full time student, studying to become a Registered Dietitian. He is the smartest, most determined guy I know. No joke. He loves his football (Texans!), research, watching movies, drinking lots of coffee at all hours of the day, working in the yard, working out and having nowhere to be on the weekend. He was MADE to be a dad -a girl dad at that- and Violet is completely enamored with him. I am too :)
VIOLET: She is our 1 year old wild child, my look-alike and the coolest "surprise" to ever happen to us :) She's a little shy with strangers but at home she is the biggest goofball ever, totally like her dad. Of course we're biased but we really think she is the smartest, sweetest, most gorgeous child out there. She wears us the hell out and may end up an only child because of it but watching her learn and grow every day is the most amazing thing ever and completely worth the exhaustion. She goes by V around here but at home she's "tutu", "tootie", "tootie pie" and "baybah".
Thanks for being here, SAY HI! :)
